My performances are preoccupied with power, and haunted by the ways it hides, while enforcing visibility on other bodies. The performers are bound by constraints, and at the same time inundated by the mirages of capitalist ideology, in the form of illusions, secret codes, advertisements, swirling patterns and even a tilted floor. My artwork celebrates people’s creative responses to limitations, and marvels at the everyday heroism of human beings who to speak truth to power.
