Rehearsals for Becoming Gods (II)
Rehearsals for Becoming Gods investigates the tendency among human beings to treat our bodies as “other” - as uncooperative objects that require “management,” or states from which to escape. How is a perspective on the body as “other” linked to disability, violence, and spiritual devotion? Rehearsals probes the conditions under which a body might act and react equally, and the exercise of volition become blurry, as for example in cases of repetition disorders associated with trauma, rituals of faith, technological failure, behavior modification and exhaustion.
