Rehearsals for Becoming Gods investigates the tendency among human beings to treat our bodies as other - as uncooperative objects that require management, or states from which to escape. How is a perspective on the body as other linked to disability, violence, and spiritual devotion? Rehearsals probes the conditions under which a body might act and react equally, and the exercise of volition become blurry, as for example in cases of repetition disorders associated with trauma, rituals of faith, technological failure, behavior modification and exhaustion.
